Black and White

I am liking black and white a lot at the moment. I think you can have a really flamboyant, highly decorative pattern which in colour might be a bit over the top, but which in monochrome is easier on the eye. See these recent purchases for evidence:

These plaques I bought on Ebay and I really love them: They were designed by Björn Wiinblad in the 1960's for Nymolle Denmark. They now live here:

There are twelve altogether (one for each month of the year, following a couple's courtship, marriage and the birth of their child in December, I have  March, June and December), but I think three is enough. 

All this black and white (remember this?!) has given me an idea which I can't wait to start in the New Year... watch this space!
