wedding photography
I found these photos of 1940s/wartime weddings on the world wide web and thought you'd like to see them too:

Check out the lovely bride's fascinator and look how very happy he is!
I'm thinking she's a bit of a foxy minx and he's going to have his hands full!
I'm noticing that none of the brides have bouquets but they do have whacking great corsages.
I'm also acknowledging that I have way too much up top to be adding any kind of bulk to that area!
This is my favourite because it's not so posed.
And that's how we want our photography to be.
This is the site of our photographer, I like his natural, unobtrusive style.

My parents married in 1942, they couldn’t buy flowers or bouquets. The first photo is really lovely. Two happy people! I love black and white wedding-photos. I don’t have any, my brother made slides... wrong decision!

Great pictures! Not an ounce of white or ivory in sight. I love the first satin dress, you could whip one of those up no problem surely?
Your photographer's stuff is totally breathtaking (although a couple of images in there disturb me... is that a toy squashed in the road? And is that old man ok or just pretending?!), the depth of field is amazing and I imagine he will take some fantastic pictures of your big day - good choice.

Oh I like them all. And again, I am wishing I was there. I would make sure lovely natural photos were taken, that you were cozy and that your headress was every so perfect!!! xxox

I love the photos, although I was puzzled as to what a 'fascinator' was--reading on, I get it and love it!! I'm sure you will look beautiful and I know you will pick out something that you feel great about--in the end, what it feels like to you and your man is what sticks with you. Can't wait to see what you choose!
